SoSoクロックは、初期モダニズムのビジュアル言語—大胆な色彩、クリーンな幾何学、中心に集められた数字とその周りに広がるゆったりとした余白—から着想を得て、私たちが暮らす空間にちょうどよく馴染むよう柔らかくアレンジしました。ここでのオレンジは挑戦的ではありません。暖色系で、控えめに彩られ、主張せずに明るく感じさせる色味です。淡い合板の縁がその自然な温かみでバランスを取り、キッチン、スタジオ、オフィスのどこにでも自然に溶け込む落ち着きを与えています。
デザインは、姉妹である粟辻美早氏と粟辻麻紀氏が設立した東京の女性だけのスタジオ、Awatsujiによるもの。製造は、1970年代に遡る丁寧な職人技に根ざし、数々のグッドデザイン賞を受賞してきた日本のメーカー、タカタレムノスが手がけています。
