The black matte finish on this bookend is so smooth, and the geometric shape adds a nice modern touch to my shelf. It's hand-crafted and you can really tell from the little variations in the surface. Holds up my heaviest art books without any wobble.
The glaze has this subtle matte finish that makes it look way more expensive than it was. I've got it holding up a few art books on my desk, and the handcrafted asymmetry is exactly what I wanted.
The ceramic has a nice solid weight that keeps my art books from tipping over, and you can tell it was hand-thrown from the subtle ridges. It's a little smaller than I pictured, but it holds its own next to a stack of hardcovers.
