コントラストを極めた逸品——徳利は、備前焼の数百年にわたる伝統を、現代的な幾何学で表現しています。日本最古の六つの窯元の一つに由来し、そのルーツは鎌倉時代にまで遡るこの器は、中世の職人技と現代のフォルムを橋渡しします。白釉と信楽の深い土色が鋭角的に交わり、口元だけが柔らかな曲線を描き、そこに季節の花を活ける舞台が生まれます。古琵琶湖層から採取された粘土を用いて手作りされた一点ものは、土本来の風合いを宿し、わずかな形の違いが、機械ではなく作り手の手によって成形された証しです。酒器としても花器としてもお使いいただけ、日常のひとときを静かな儀式へと変えます。
