The weight of the Nambu cast iron base means I can pull a strip of tape one-handed without the whole thing sliding across my desk. It just sits there feeling solid and looks good next to my notebooks too.
The cast iron base keeps this thing planted on my desk, so I can rip a piece of tape one-handed without it sliding around. The wood top has a nice matte finish that's warm against the dark metal. It's the first desk tool I've owned that I actually leave out on purpose.
