The weight of the solid brass barrel makes it feel substantial in hand, and the contrast between the matte black coating and exposed metal details is genuinely striking. It writes flawlessly right out of the box, and I find myself reaching for it over all my other pens.
The exposed brass where the coating stops is a clever design choice—it wears beautifully and gives the pencil a real hand-tooled feel. The solid brass body gives it enough heft to feel substantial without being tiring, and it’s become my daily writer.
