The photos of her Rue de Sèvres apartment alone justify the price—I've never seen the bamboo and rattan details reproduced this clearly. It's a heavy book, so plan for a sturdy shelf, but the print quality on the drawings is stunning.
The chapter on her 1927 return to the atelier with portfolio in hand is worth the price alone. I've read plenty of design books that gloss over her furniture work, but this one actually shows how the pieces evolved over that decade.
I bought this after years of only knowing her as the woman Le Corbusier supposedly turned away, and the decade of work that followed is documented beautifully here. The archival sketches and floor plans made me rethink how much of that studio's warmth was actually hers.
