Category: The Desktop

Three tiers that move through a home without effort. On the desk, a place for what a day leaves behind. On the nightstand, rings and earrings. In the kitchen, salt in one dish, pepper in the other. In the bathroom, whatever the bathroom needs.

Yohen means “kiln variation” — the subtle, unpredictable shift that happens in firing. sakuzan, producing ceramics in Gifu Prefecture since 1952, named this line for that quality: a glaze that reads pale and chalky until the light catches it differently.

The form is as practical as it is quiet.

The tiered design is so practical—I keep salt and pepper in the bottom dishes by the stove and my daily rings up top by the sink. It’s the first catchall that actually stays in one spot in the kitchen instead of collecting dust on my desk.

Been moving mine from desk to nightstand to kitchen counter all week, and it's honestly the most useful little thing I own. The three tiers are shallow enough that my rings and earrings don't get lost in a pile, and the pepper dish sits right in one slot while the salt stays in the other.

Moved it from my desk to the nightstand in about ten seconds, and now my rings have a proper home instead of rolling around. The three tiers give everything its own spot, which sounds obvious but honestly changes how tidy my mornings feel.
