In Jeju, a volcanic island located in South Korea, “mudle” is local dialect for a mound of volcanic stones in the field, a traditional ritual. This art of stacking can serve as inspiration for your own assembly of these unique crayons. Handmade of beeswax and mineral pigments in tones of grey and clay, they are a realistic representation of volcanic stone that can be used to write and draw. Made in South Korea, where the boundary between craft and necessity remains pleasantly blurred.

Box size is 4" x 6", contains 4 crayons reflecting the natural tones of Jeju volcanic stones.
Also available in a Colors version.

These crayons have a unique story behind them—they're inspired by the volcanic stone stacks in Jeju. The neutral palette blends beautifully for shading, and each stick glides on paper smoothly.

The earthy tones in this set are exactly what I needed for sketching landscapes, and the crayons have a nice, smooth glide. They layer beautifully to create depth without getting waxy, and the muted palette feels uniquely inspired by volcanic stone.
