Morning Ceremony: Green Tea Gradient Scent-Changing Incense

Morning Ceremony: Green Tea Gradient Scent-Changing Incense - Main image
$24 $48 In stock

Category: The Full Collection

Morning Ceremony Incense burns in sequence — green tea first, then brisk bamboo, then soft white flower — while the stick's color shifts to match. The gradient isn't decoration; it's a legible record of where the burn is in its arc. It opens clean and closes warm, inspired by morning matcha rituals. Made by Orika on Awaji Island, Japan's center of incense production for over four centuries, in small batches by hand. Twenty sticks, burn time approximately thirty minutes each.

Part of our Forest Bathing collection.

Carter L. ★★★★★

The color shifting from green to pale white as it burns is oddly satisfying to watch, and it actually tracks with the scent going from green tea to bamboo to something softer. I've been lighting one while I make breakfast and the whole kitchen smells calm without being perfumey.

William L. ★★★★★

The color shift from green to white isn't a gimmick — I actually watch it to know when the bamboo phase starts. Three distinct scents in one stick, and the white flower finish lingers way longer than I expected.

The color shift from green to bamboo to white flower actually tracks how the scent changes, so I catch the transition without even looking. I've been lighting one during my morning tea and it's become the part of the day I look forward to.
