Frama T-Lamp: Brushed Steel

A take on the archetypal desk lamp, reduced to its geometry: a vertical column, a tilting arm. Simplified to basic forms, it reads as monumental anyway — a quality the brushed steel surface reinforces as it marks and patinates with use, the material shifting character slowly over time. The top pivots to cast light at different angles; an integrated dimmer handles the rest. Winner of the Wallpaper* Design Award.

Frama is a Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary design house founded by Niels Strøyer Christophersen, working across furniture, lighting, and objects from their studio in Copenhagen's historic Nyboder neighborhood. The work is defined by natural materials, simple geometry, and a design archetype approach that favors permanence over novelty.
