Forty years without a revision. Canetti's steel ruler — weighted to anchor paper while you work, with a standing center edge that lifts and repositions without losing your place — was designed as part of his original 1980 run and has not needed to change since. Reissued for the 40th Anniversary, now in MoMA's collection.

Satin matte finish with markings in both Metric and Imperial scale. Arrives boxed with a black pouch. Available in 6" and 12".

I've been through a lot of rulers that slide around mid-cut, but the weight on this one actually pins the paper down like it's supposed to. The raised center edge is a clever touch, too—it lets me lift and shift without losing my line. Solid steel, solid buy.

The way the center edge lifts the ruler without losing my place is such a clever touch—I didn’t expect to care, but now I use it constantly for underlining notes. It stays put on the paper even when I’m writing fast, and the weight feels reassuringly solid.

The standing center edge is a game changer—I can slide the ruler under a stack of papers and lift it without disturbing my place, which my old plastic one could never do. It's got a solid heft that makes it feel built to last, and the black finish looks sharp on my desk.
