Black-Edged Perforated Message Pad - Main image

The black edge paint is the first thing you notice — a line of finish along the spine that makes a notepad feel more resolved than most things on a desk. The base is a paper-wrapped board in ivory, like a small hardcover, and the pages are bound with a smooth off-white ribbon before they're finished with that edge. Below "To," "From," and "Subject," the page does what a message pad should: waits. Perforated for a clean tear-off, and sized for a jacket pocket or a corner of the desk that doesn't have much to spare.

Carter ★★★★☆

The ivory paper-wrapped board gives it a nice, understated look, and the pages tear cleanly along the perforation. Only wish the pad were a bit larger for longer notes.

Zoe ★★★★☆

The black edge along the spine gives it a much more polished look than my usual notepads, and the paper-wrapped base feels sturdy. Only wish the sheets were just a tiny bit larger for longer notes.
