Yohen betekent "ovenvariaties" — de subtiele, onvoorspelbare verschuiving die tijdens het bakken ontstaat. Sakuzan, dat sinds 1952 keramiek produceert in de prefectuur Gifu, noemde deze lijn naar die eigenschap: een glazuur dat bleek en krijtachtig oogt totdat het licht er anders op valt.

De vorm is even praktisch als ingetogen.
