I've been using them for handwritten notes and they're thick enough that fountain pen ink doesn't bleed through. The drop front box is a nice touch too, feels sturdy

The card stock is thicker than I expected and the metallic edging catches the light without looking gaudy. I've been using them for thank-you notes and the drop front box keeps the set tidy on my desk.
