The copper fastenings catch the light beautifully against the cherry wood, and the lid fits so snugly it feels almost airtight. I've been using mine on my desk for small odds and ends, and it's both sturdy and elegant without being fussy. Exactly the kind of honest craftsmanship you hope for.
I was skeptical about the thin cherry wood holding up, but the strips feel surprisingly sturdy and the copper fasteners give it a nice handcrafted look. It sits perfectly on my desk holding paperclips and other odds and ends, and the round shape is more elegant than a standard box.
The copper fasteners catch the light beautifully against the cherry wood, and the round shape sits nicely on my desk without rolling around. It’s exactly the kind of honest, simple craftsmanship you don’t see much anymore.
