Standard Coolicon -valaisin piirrettiin ensimmäisen kerran patenttihakemusta varten vuonna 1933, ja se on lähes vuosisadan ajan ansainnut paikkansa – tehdassaleissa, työpajoissa ja Winston Churchillin sodanaikaisen bunkkerin keittiössä. Muotoilu, joka ei kaivannut muutoksia silloin eikä kaipaa nyt.

Sama 15-vaiheinen märkäemalointiprosessi, joka tehdään pienissä erissä käsityöläisten toimesta – lähempänä studiokeramiikkaa kuin teollista valmistusta. Alkuperäinen innovaatio, tuuletettu yläosa, tekee edelleen juuri sen, mitä varten se suunniteltiin: yleisvalo leviää ylöspäin ja kohdevalo lankeaa puhtaasti alaspäin.

The enamel finish on this pendant is gorgeous in person, and the wide shade spreads a soft, even glow across the whole dining table. I went with the large size in a deeper color and it's exactly the vintage factory look I wanted. Wiring was straightforward and it feels genuinely solid.
