Japanese Glass Fragment Incense Burner

Incense holders formed from glass fragments salvaged from Japanese kiln bottoms—irregular shards that began as molten overflow from the glassblowing process. Each piece has been annealed to remove sharp edges, transforming industrial remnants into sculptural forms that catch and refract ambient light. The substantial weight (approximately 8 ounces) anchors a single incense stick, while the unique geometry of each fragment—no two alike—speaks to the unpredictable beauty of reclaimed materials. A meditation on chance, craft, and the quiet beauty of industrial accident made intentional.

While roughly uniform in volume, individual pieces range from 1.5" to 4" in length or height. Inventory is highly limited.
