Første gang tegnet til en patentansøgning i 1933, har Standard Coolicon brugt næsten et århundrede på at fortjene sin plads – på fabriksgulvet, i værkstedet, i Winston Churchills krigsbunkerkøkken. Et design, der dengang ikke krævede nogen revision, og som heller ikke har brug for det i dag.

Den samme 15-trins vådemaljeringsproces, udført i små partier af håndværkere, der arbejder tættere på et studiokeramik end en fabrik. Den ventilerede topgaller, den originale innovation, gør stadig præcis, hvad den blev designet til: omgivende lys samler sig opad, arbejdslys falder rent nedad.

The enamel finish on this pendant is gorgeous in person, and the wide shade spreads a soft, even glow across the whole dining table. I went with the large size in a deeper color and it's exactly the vintage factory look I wanted. Wiring was straightforward and it feels genuinely solid.
